Week six winner Corey Barton's photo and story.
This year while hunting with an Epek Broad head I had a deer that I judged to be about 40 yards away, quartering towards me, I did not have time to use my rangefinder as we were both in the open. I took the shot and watched my arrow bounce off a tree about 20 feet in the air and about 30 feet behind the deer, I thought I had missed.
I retrieved my arrow and it had blood and fat clear to the vanes. We tracked the deer about 300 yards and found it dead.
I had misjudged the yardage it was actual 47 yards so I shot low. My arrow went through the brisket just under the skin, it traveled through 1 inch of the deer and opened on exiting. When the top blade opened it caught the flank and opened up a long incision eviscerating the deer.
I am a true believe that if I were shooting any other broad head I would not have got my first ever archery bow kill.
Thanks EPEK
